Quotes

Along with the prior post from today, some people have been posting quotes in the group. I like a lot of them and want to save them all in one place, so this will be a constantly updating post. SORRYBOUTIT. (also, I've been saving some of these on stickies so I'm not really quite sure where I've found all of them. Not trying to step on anyones toes if they're their own proper words, actually sorry about it (not sarcastic.)

‎"There is nothing--absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats." - Kenneth Grahame, The Wind in the Willows

Love is universal, Knowledge is universal, Kindness is universal and I want to know what not only makes us similar but what also makes us so different.
The love of the ocean, comes from deep inside. it's where i feel at peace, where I can recharge my batteries. the ocean saved my life.
Let us remember that, as much has been given us, much will be expected from us, and that true homage comes from the heart as well as from the lips, and shows itself in deeds.
~Theodore Roosevelt

"Go in search of life's possibilites, they are endless as the earth."

Some years ago- never mind how long precisely- having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me on shore, I thought I would sail about a little and see the watery part of the world.  Moby Dick

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain

“All journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware.” – Martin Buber

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.” – Mark Twain

“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” – St. Augustine

“There are no foreign lands. It is the traveler only who is foreign.” – Robert Louis Stevenson

“The use of traveling is to regulate imagination by reality, and instead of thinking how things may be, to see them as they are.” – Samuel Johnson

“All the pathos and irony of leaving one’s youth behind is thus implicit in every joyous moment of travel: one knows that the first joy can never be recovered, and the wise traveler learns not to repeat successes but tries new places all the time.” – Paul Fussell

Travel isn't always pretty.
It isn't always comfortable.
Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart.
But that's okay,
The journey changes you...
It should change you.
It leaves marks on your memory,
On your consciousness,
Your heart,
And on your body.
Take something with you,
Hopefully you leave something good behind.
-Anthony Bourdain
